This is the assignment instructions : This assignment is designed to improve and demonstrate your research skills, as well as to show your command of a particular topic in the social/cultural geography of identity to a depth beyond our approach in our class and readings. Ultimately, your goal is to collect, analyze, present, integrate, and evaluate the research on a specific topic in the social/cultural geography of identity in order to advance an argument. You will: Develop your own focus (Scale? Identity? Power?)

Course Description: This course examines the production, reproduction and mediation of identities through space and place at various scales. The course will introduce students to the complex relations between space, place and identity, and ask them to think critically about the spaces of their own lives.
